Michael Karim

Chief Financial Officer, ServiceMax, from GE Digital

Mike began his career with GE Capital in 1997, working across its $80B Private Equity and Leverage Lending operations, focusing on portfolio valuation, Investment strategies, and tailoring complex financial solutions for large multinational corporates. After progressing through various leadership positions, Mike joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff, supporting several company-wide initiatives and auditing more than 15 financial and industrial business units.

In 2006, Mike was appointed Chief Financial Officer for one of GE’s global lending businesses, based in the Netherlands. After living abroad for several years, he returned to the US to lead the Financial Planning & Analysis operations for GE’s largest Leveraged Finance business. He returned to his Midwest roots in 2009, when he became Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital’s Asset Lending Business in Chicago.

The GE Software Center of Excellence named Mike its first Chief Financial Officer in 2012, and as a founding member of the senior leadership team, he helped create and shape what is GE Digital today. In 2015, he became the General Manager of GE Digital’s commercially facing international operations, focused on global expansion and customer acquisition.  In 2017, he returned to Finance to serve in his current capacity as Chief Financial Officer for GE Digital’s $1B acquisition of ServiceMax Inc.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University. A Michigan native, Mike enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with his wife and three kids.
