Thermondo to Increase Service Efficiency and Business Agility Using ServiceMax, from GE Digital

High Growth Pioneering German Clean-tech Start-up Digitizes Heating Retrofitting with Field Service Management to Future-proof Service Efficiency

Berlin, Germany – 26 September 2017 – Thermondo, the revolutionary technology-driven provider of heating solutions, is strategically investing in its growth with the deployment of the ServiceMax field service management platform. With an average annual growth rate of +600% and installation of 300 heaters every month, the integration will ensure full service process efficiency and further business agility to enable rapid future growth.

Thermondo digitizes the process of heating retrofitting from lead generation, sales, finance, installation to after-sales and is Germany’s largest heating installer for privately owned properties. The business, trail blazing a digital approach to a complex craft service, is based on software and service. An algorithm matches the customer requirements with solutions and provides customer quotes in real-time. Locally based installation teams of artisan craftsmen, working to Thermondo’s high quality standards, install the new heating system at the customers’ homes.

“We grew faster than our processes, so we had to think ahead about how our operational and service processes could be agile enough to keep pace,” said Philipp Pausder, Co-Founder and CEO, Thermondo. “Integration with the ServiceMax platform will provide the key component to future-proofing our service related processes, from the initial sales order to work order, planning, scheduling and ensuring customers benefit from an efficient installation and service process. We are committed to delivering our customers with exceptional service, execution needs to be right first time, with no room for error. This will help empower our craftsmen to deliver customer-oriented, innovative and environment-friendly solutions, and help us continue to scale at pace.”

“We are honoured that Thermondo, one of the hottest startups in Germany, has decided to partner with us to develop an outcome-based customer offering, that will help to fight global warming with energy efficient heating systems,” said Nick Bowles, Regional Vice President EMEA, ServiceMax.

The ServiceMax platform will be deployed via a mobile Android app, with a phased roll out and a first go live in October 2017. The project will be implemented together with the ServiceMax Partner Zuehlke Engineering.
