Maintenance & Certification Expiration Overview

In order to maintain your ServiceMax certification(s), you must successfully complete ServiceMax release maintenance courses and exam modules in LItmos. If you do not pass your maintenance exams by the deadline, your ServiceMax Core certification(s) will expire. Refer to the table below for details regarding maintenance deadlines.

When the release tutorials and exam are published, you will receive an email from product.training@servicemax.com with all the necessary details to complete your maintenance. While helpful, you should not rely only on these email notifications; it is your responsibility to complete your maintenance modules by the published deadline.

Important to note: Successful completion of the SVMX101 Certification Exam establishes you as a ServiceMax Core Certified Administrator. The SVMX101 Certification Exam: Introduction to ServiceMax Administration is a prerequisite to the SVMX201 Certification Exam: ServiceMax Advanced Administration. Successful completion of the SVMX201 Advanced Administration Exam does not exclude you from the regular maintenance requirements.

FAQs

What study resources are available for me?
The primary reference materials for the maintenance exams are the Release Training videos (in Litmos) and the Release Notes (available via the ServiceMax Help site ).

What happens if I do not pass a maintenance exam?
You are permitted three (3) attempts per maintenance exam. If you do not pass the release exam by its deadline, all credentials maintained by that exam will expire.

Can I ‘test out’ or otherwise skip maintenance exams?
No. Earning a higher level credential does not exempt you from the release exam requirement. You still need to take all release exams to maintain both your basic and advanced credentials.
