Maximize is an incredible event for the field service industry, and for the first time, we’re thrilled to be bringing the service community from all around the globe together for a single virtual event. We are looking forward to three days of networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing that will help service leaders transform their businesses and empower the technicians who have proven—more so than ever—that they play a critical role in keeping the world running.

On top of this, I am excited to be welcoming legendary NBA star and entrepreneur, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, to the virtual keynote stage on day two of Maximize.

Magic is the Chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, an investment conglomerate valued at an estimated $1 billion dollars. You most likely remember him from his time on the Los Angeles Lakers, but over the past 20 years, Magic has morphed into a business powerhouse who has dedicated his life to leaving a positive impact in underserved urban communities.

Some of his early achievements include developing Magic Johnson Theatres with Sony Pictures and teaming up with Starbucks in 1998 to become the only franchisee in the history of the company. These ventures served as catalysts for redevelopment in urban communities and are widely recognized as the corporate blueprint for engagement and success with urban consumers across America.

As of late, Magic has turned his attention to infrastructure and technology. Through a newly formed fund, Johnson is investing more than $1 billion dollars on infrastructure improvement in the United States. He is a board member with Square, a mobile payment company that supports small businesses and entrepreneurs and is one of the leading investors in a number of minority-owned tech companies that include Jopwell, a diversity and hiring recruiting platform, and Walker & Co Brands, a company that develops health and beauty products for people of color.

Magic’s business success and the work he’s done to improve the lives of those in underserved communities cannot be understated. During the keynote, I will sit down with Magic to get his advice on pivoting your business strategy when things don’t go to plan, building a strong cultural foundation at your organization, and bringing ideas from Diversity, Equity & Inclusion into business operations. I can’t wait to hear from Magic about his brand evolution, philosophy for success, and vision for a bright and promising future.

I hope you’ll join me and all of the incredible speakers we’ll have at Maximize 2021. Register here!
